WatchList: Vendors

While tempting to list e-cigarette/e-juice vendors with a "safe" or "unsafe" ranking, with new vaping-related companies popping up daily it may not be a viable option.

How, then, do we identify nicotine juice vendors who are open with disclosure and seem to understand the issues of concern to the vaping community?

Ask questions.

Ask the vendor. If the vendor does not offer a customer service telephone number, email and ask for a phone number and physical mailing address. Check the Better Business Bureau or call the vendor's local Chamber of Commerce to see if the company is legitimately operating as a business.  Ask on the e-cigarette-forum.com forums.

Remember, these vendors are creating or marketing a product that is designed to be inhaled, and safety concerns are not to be brushed off.  Where does the mixing take place?  What precautions are in place to ensure a safe-to-inhale product is being delivered?

Trust your instincts, cautiously.  So many vendors seem to cruise through safety discussions by being "charming" and managing to divert attention away by closing threads on their forums or offering sales to new users, etc.  If your gut says it's a problem, listen.
